When anybody logs into the server a message saying that Winlogon.exe is corrupted need to close is coming with an option send report to Microsoft or don’t send….


In Event Viewer –

In Application there was a error stating below,

Event ID 1004
Source Application Error
Reporting queued error: faulting application winlogon.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module regapi.dll, version 5.2.3790.0, fault address 0x00002c4d.

Solution: -
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP, A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
