Subnet mask is used to identify the network id and host id of an IP address. When ever we mention a IP address/or assign a IP address we have to write the subnet mask.
the default subnet mask of class A IP is 255.0.0.0
default subnet mask of class B IP is 255.255.0.0
default subnet mask of class C ip is 255.255.255.0
