Tool / Utility / Software for Copying Data from multiple source to multiple destination

About this Utility:-

This utility is very useful to copy the list of files from one location or server to another. Just see the senario, You have a Development, Staging and Production website on windows server (IIS) Environment in your organisation, if you like to copy some files from the devlopment to staging for release of the content, then this tools is very useful. The source and destination structure should be same. only home path changes, if you eleminate or delete the home path from source website and destination website then all the path (source and destination) is same.

Why this utility:-

if you want to copy list of 500 files or more then?... manual copy is notpossible

It asks for Source home path and destination home paths. Dont worry about the destination file about it over written, it take a backup with todays date.. :)

This utility required a text file input named “filelist.txt” (place the file in same directory of the exe /Utility file) which having the path of the files which we needs to be copied. Remove the blank lines at the end of the file.
Now click the double click the script, It will ask for source home path as the below screen shot. Provide the source home path as per your requirement

It asks for the Destination Home path as the below screen shot. Prove the destination Home path

1. It Create Four log file named, Sourcepathcheck.csv, sourcelist.txt, destinationlist.txt and backuplog.txt.
2. Sourcepathcheck.csv file gives the information about the availability of the source files. If something is missing, then make a note in the case with the missing files when closing the SC case, but we can copy other files.
3. Normally all source files path will be written in sourcefilelist.txt and all destination files path is written in destinationlist.txt
4. Backuplog.csv file provide the information about the the backup taken at the destination end.
It takes the backup of destination file if already exists in the destination before copy the file.
Normally it adds current date and ,backup extension (eg original file name: aboutus.htm bacup file name: aboutus.htm-032309.backup
